Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set Review

A lot of the time, bringing bowls and cups on a backpacking trip can be heavy or bulky. The Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set solves that problem. As implied by their name, these bowls and cups are “squishy” and are made of flexible, food safe silicone. Now, storage and weight aren’t a problem.

The Guyot Designs Bowls and Cups, due to their flexible silicone make up, can be crammed into any crevice of your backpack, are easy to clean, and can hold hot foods. These silicone bowls and cups can be manipulated in any way and will always revert to their original shape. This feature is very useful for cleaning. After you are finished with your meal, just flip them inside-out. Then it’s easy to lick or wipe them clean, which is very convenient when you’re trying to get an early start on the trail in the morning and don’t want to be held up by washing dishes.

Another plus with these squishy bowls and cups is that they are temperature resistant up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This means that you won’t have to worry about hot soup or chili melting the bowl. It can even be used to microwave your food at home!

The set contains one 16 fl. oz. bowl that is 3.3 ounces and a 6 fl. oz. cup that is 1.7 ounces, which is not a bad size for camp food. Due to their size, the cup can fit in the bowl and be squished together with it, making packing easier. The price is very reasonable, at $14.95 on the REI website. The set also doesn’t lack in color choices. The set comes in red, black, blue, or green

I have found the bowls to be very useful. They were great on my backpacking trip and held up very well. The stability wasn’t an issue for me and the bowl and cup both felt great to hold in my hands. I hope that other people’s experiences with the Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set will be as great as mine have been.
